Serving the LORD wherever we go

Our Story

Caravangelists is a small organisation made up of Mark Pratt and Sarah Boldero, a husband and wife team from Surrey. We both started attending Staines Congregational Church in 2014 (see our testimonies for more on that story) and we were baptized there a year later. Originally, we wanted to buy ourselves a caravan and travel around the UK in our spare time. Mark joked that we could run a church from it and then the idea wouldn’t go away! As our Christian faith developed, the thought of a ‘mobile ministry’ was something which also grew, and we started putting the building blocks of Caravangelists into place in 2022. We are both at stages in our careers where we want to start winding down. Secular work is quickly losing its appeal and we’d like to dedicate time and energy into serving the Lord. It is our hope, and persistent prayer, that we will be able to make Caravangelists a greater part of our lives from around 2025.

Serving the LORD wherever we go

We have summarised the vision for Caravangelists as ‘serving the LORD wherever we go’, but what does this mean? What are we actually going to do? Well, the ‘wherever we go’ bit was included to get across the fact that we intend to be moving from place to place, in our (not yet purchased) caravan, travelling across the country seeking opportunities to serve the LORD. We want to get out there, to go, to take the gospel with us wherever the LORD takes us. As for ‘serving the LORD’, for us this takes many different forms: we will meet people as we travel, and we would like to share our testimony with them, to be a witness to the life-changing power of a relationship with God; we will seek and take up opportunities to share the gospel; we will run short Bible study programmes, or discussion groups, in person and online, which help people develop their understanding of Scripture and of a life lived serving Jesus; we intend to build relationships with a network of churches and Christian organisations across the country who we might be able to support with their gospel-spreading work. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptising them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit (Matthew 28:19)

Sharing our Testimony

We will meet people as we travel, and we would like to share our testimony with them, to be a witness to the life-changing power of a relationship with God.

Our objectives are to:

Reach...

…as many people as we possibly can

Share...

…our testimony with them

Engage...

…with our social media or website

Invite...

…people to attend our sessions/programmes

Encourage...

…regular attendance at a suitable church (we are not aiming to be an alternative)
